FS-170 Friction Saw
For fast single-blade friction cuts up to a 6.625-inch (170 mm) diameter, a FS-170 friction saw delivers accuracy and overall durability for high strength steel and mechanical tubing applications. This flying saw tracks tube and pipe speed during production and cuts (using a 75 HP accelerator motor and high-performance low-backlash rack and pinion) precisely at line speeds up to 320 FPM (100 MPM) with a single 35-inch (900 mm) diameter blade. This cost-effective flying saw, with its variable speed blade drive, is an ideal match for heavy wall applications where production speed is critical. The FS-170 is easy to setup and maintain by utilizing simple low-cost tooling.
